Where on the San Diego Sea to Sea Trail is it?

Here’s a chance to win some great quarterly prizes. Every quarter, we’ll put up an unusual photo on this page, and all you have to do is tell us where it is on the San Diego Sea to Sea Trail. Preferably with its GPS coordinates. Just e-mail us with your answers - it’s as simple as that!

Congratulations to Jim Rasmus who won the second quarter’s prize. He found the wonderful front gate sculptures sitting west of the intersection of Del Vino Court and Rancho Toyon Place. Christina Lettang came a close second with the exact GPS coordinates: N 32 56.589  W 117 10.961.

Congratulations to Dave from Ramona who won the first quarter’s prize. He found our very distinctive Compass Barrel cactus along the north facing section of the Trail as it heads up from Hellhole Canyon Trailhead in Borrego Springs.

All winning answers will be eligible for the quarterly draw. Deadline for the third quarter competition is September 30, 2003.

And if you have an unusual shot taken from along the Trail, feel free to send it in to us for the ‘Where on the San Diego Sea to Sea Trail is it?’ competition.

Here’s this quarter’s photo. Happy hunting!
