Volunteer Opportunities
To volunteer in the education program, please contact us. We have made tremendous progress, but have quite a bit to do. If you have lots of energy, a love for the environment and a desire to help make OUR world a better place, this is for YOU!
Docent Opportunities
Enjoy being out on the Trail and have a love for knowledge and nature? Share your enthusiasm with your neighbors and friends. Join us by teaching our community about the San Diego Sea to Sea Trail and all of its wonder!
Curriculum Development
We need help! As you can see by our diverse list of programs, we have lots of curriculum to develop for many grade levels. We are working with the California Education Standards in math, science, language arts, environmental education and physical fitness to help our teachers work our programs into their schedules. We also want to continuously update the information to keep it current. No boring lectures allowed! Help create fun workshops that give children a “hands on” opportunity to learn. It’s our duty to keep the community informed of the issues that influence and affect our Trail. Join up for a fun and rewarding activity. Share your knowledge and experiences with our children.
Classroom Presenters
Always wanted to be a teacher? Want to give back to the community and talking on the Trail isn’t your idea of fun? You can still participate by getting involved as a classroom presenter. We don’t ask just anyone to do this! You must be great with children and exude enthusiasm. It’s our reputation on the line and we want keen knowledgeable presenters! We’ll provide the lesson plans - you do the presenting! We will review the materials, show you the format and ask you for feedback. Come and join our dynamic team of classroom presenters!
